The Grandstream GWN7625 WiFi access point is an indoor dual-band device designed for use in high-density client networks. As a dual-band access point, it operates on the WiFi 5 (802.11ac) standard and provides a combined wireless throughput of up to 2033Mbps across the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. For efficient signal distribution and to serve multiple devices at once, it uses MU-MIMO and beamforming technologies, specifically 4×4:4 on the 5GHz band and 2×2:2 on the 2.4GHz band. This MU-MIMO access point was designed to serve up to 200 concurrently connected clients, making it ideal for offices, warehouses, or schools. Flexible power via PoE/PoE+ simplifies the installation of this PoE access point.

Wi-Fi connectivity and speed
This Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard access point operates on two bands. On the 5GHz band, it provides a transfer speed of 1733Mbps using 4×4:4 MU-MIMO technology. The 2.4GHz band offers a speed of 300Mbps and 2×2:2 MU-MIMO technology. The combined wireless throughput is 2033Mbps. Advanced beamforming technology actively directs the signal to connected devices, improving connection stability and range.
Network capacity and management
The device is designed for use in high-density client environments and can serve up to 200 concurrently connected devices. You can create up to 16 separate networks (SSIDs), eight for each radio. The network can be managed in several ways. The built-in controller can manage up to 30 local GWN series access points. For larger networks or multi-site management, use the Grandstream Cloud Platform (GDMS) or the on-premise GWN Manager software controller.
Advanced security
Modern encryption standards, including WPA3 and WPA2-Enterprise, protect the wireless network. The access point integrates advanced security features, such as secure boot against unauthorised firmware modifications and critical data lockdown via digital signatures. Each unit contains a unique security certificate and a randomly generated password. In addition, the Quality of Service (QoS) feature prioritises network traffic for key applications. A separate guest network (Guest Zone) enhances the security of internal resources.
Connectivity options
The Grandstream GWN7625 WiFi access point provides wired connectivity to the network and other devices with two gigabit ethernet ports. Flexible power is supplied via Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) technology. The device supports the 802.3af and 802.3at standards. This means only a single network cable is needed for its operation, making installation simpler. A mounting kit for wall or ceiling attachment is included in the package.
