Aberrations characteristic of super telephoto lenses are suppressed by the use of five ED and two Super ED elements. The optimal lens arrangement in the optical design (14 groups and 21 elements) suppresses chromatic and spherical aberration and enables high resolution and detail-rich images. Despite being a super telephoto lens, it weighs just 1,375g, which would be impossible with a conventional GFX system. The weight is evenly distributed and the lens is perfectly balanced to ensure that the photographer can handle demanding shoots over long periods of time.
