Stud Earrings

Stud earrings are a type of earring whose decorative part sits directly on the earlobe. They consist of an ornament and a post, which is a thin rod that passes through the pierced hole in the ear. From the back, the post is secured by a fastening, most commonly a butterfly back, sometimes referred to as a 'ball back', or a screw-on back. Thanks to this design, it creates the impression that the ornament floats on the ear without visible suspension. The decorative part can take many forms, from a simple ball, pearl, or gemstone to more complex shapes.
