The C4 label is an identification mark that classifies a drone into a specific technical class according to European Union rules. Drones with this label fall into a category with a maximum take-off mass of up to 25 kilograms and have no automated flight modes, with the exception of basic flight stabilization or a function for safe return to the take-off point. The operation of these unmanned aircraft is not possible in the common “open” category of operation, but is primarily intended for flying within model aircraft clubs or under a permit for the “specific” category. The label itself thus confirms that the drone meets all technical requirements for this class.
