Laptop battery with brand-name battery cells
Do you often find yourself away from the power outlets and standard battery packs just don’t quite cut it?
AVACOM offers the so-called expansion battery packs for many laptop models, which are basically your normal battery packs with a higher number of cells than you would find in original batteries. The battery is physically larger than the original, so after you plug it in, it either sticks out of the laptop or lifts up its rear part, creating a slight, ergonomically more comfortable keyboard angle.

The battery includes sophisticated electronics with double protection. This section controls the charging of individual cell branches and also protects them from overcharging or undercharging. The AVACOM batteries are a good replacement for your original battery.
Keeping your battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged at the factory, yet its capacity and performance are below 100%. This is why, for optimal battery formatting, it is recommended to repeat the full charge/discharge cycle at least 3 times when you first start using it. Being permanently connected to the power supply reduces the battery capacity, so we recommend to disconnect the device from the mains at least occasionally. If the battery is not in use, charge it fully and store it in a dry place. Check it and recharge approximately every six months.
Potential causes of battery damage
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is when you deplete it completely and then put it away for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, do not charge it until you can do it at room temperature. Use the battery only with the devices it was designed for. Also make sure that the battery is not subjected to short circuits or higher discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemical agents, and moisture.
