Flat - work better than standard wiper blades and are very easy to install; their metallic parts are also perfectly protected from rust.

Other parameters

Location - make sure you know what car window you are buying wiper blades for; windshield and rear wiper blades are different.
Length - wiper blade length should match that of the original blades, otherwise they may cross and jam or leave wet streaks.

Handy tips

Never tear off frozen wiper blades stuck to the windshield. You could easily damage the rubber strip.
Once wiper blades start leaving significant streaks, it’s a sure sign that you should change them. Driving with worn wiper blades risks decreased visibility and worse. If the blades start falling apart, they may also scratch the windshield.
