Optimised reverse flow aerodynamics
The ARCTIC P12 Pro Reverse fans use a specifically modified blade and frame geometry, which ensures efficient air intake from the opposite side. The inlet and the teardrop design of the frame's struts precisely direct the airflow with minimal loss, channelling it directly onto the blades. This design limits the creation of turbulence and reduces aerodynamic noise that would otherwise be generated as air passes over the frame's support elements. An automated manufacturing process precisely balances the rotor, which eliminates vibrations and contributes to smooth operation throughout the entire speed range.
Fan control
An integrated circuit controls the motor with low operating noise and actively compensates for minor load fluctuations. The circuit also includes protection against inrush current on start-up and against damage from incorrect wiring. PST technology simplifies cable management and speed synchronisation. In addition to the standard 4-pin PWM connector, each fan has a 4-pin socket that allows multiple fans to be connected in series. You can then control the entire group from a single PWM header on the motherboard, which makes it easier to set the fan curve for the entire cooling zone.
Fluid bearing and frame design
The ARCTIC P12 Pro fan uses a fluid dynamic bearing, whose extended shaft design improves pressure distribution inside and reduces friction. This leads to quieter operation and less vibration. The fan frame is designed with a small gap between the blade tips and the inner wall. This small clearance prevents air from flowing back around the edges and focuses all energy on pushing air in one direction. The result is higher static pressure and more efficient airflow. The fan's 27mm depth helps to better direct the airflow.
Fan ARGB lighting
Each ARCTIC P12 Pro Reverse fan is fitted with twelve individually addressable A-RGB LEDs. You connect the lighting using a standard 3-pin 5V ARGB connector, which ensures wide compatibility with lighting synchronisation systems from most motherboard manufacturers. Connecting the lighting of multiple fans is simplified thanks to the presence of a splitter connector directly on the cable. This allows for daisy-chaining the lights without the need for external hubs, which reduces the number of cables in the case.
