APC Easy UPS BV 650VA (IEC)

APC Easy UPS BV 650VA (IEC)
The APC Easy UPS BV 650VA with Standby topology provides a real power output of 375W and an apparent power of 650VA to power your electronics during mains instability. This APC 650VA UPS keeps connected devices running for 10 minutes at half load, while at full load it supplies power for 2 minutes. The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) stabilises the input voltage without switching to the battery. As a backup battery for a PC or small office equipment, it offers protection on all six outlets, which are fully backed up and surge protected. Its high operational efficiency reduces power consumption and heat loss.
Key features of the APC Easy UPS BV 650VA (IEC) backup power supply
- Standby topology with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
- All 6 sockets are battery-backed and surge-protected
- Replaceable lead-acid battery
- Compact design with wall-mount option
- High operational efficiency reduces running costs
- Integrated surge protection for connected devices
- Quiet operation
Performance and efficiency
This power supply uses Standby (Off-line) topology and integrates Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR). The AVR function actively adjusts both low and high voltages to a safe level without switching to battery power. This approach saves the battery and extends its overall lifespan. The power supply's high operational efficiency is 96.9% at full load and 94.4% at half load, resulting in lower running costs and less heat generation.
Battery and protection
Inside is a 12V lead-acid battery with a capacity of 7.0Ah, which has a lifespan of 3–5 years and is user-replaceable. The battery takes 8 hours to fully charge. The integrated surge protection with 156J of energy absorption prevents damage to sensitive electronics. Deep discharge protection is a standard part of the battery management.
Management and communication
This power supply does not support software management as it does not have a USB communication interface. All status information is provided by a clear front panel with LED indicators and audible alarms. It immediately informs the user about battery operation, overload, or the need for battery replacement. The audible alarms have different signals for low battery capacity and overload status, which makes it easy to quickly diagnose a problem without needing to connect to a computer.
Connectivity options
A standard IEC C14 input connector is used to connect to the mains. The output section consists of six IEC C13 sockets. All of these sockets provide both battery backup and integrated surge protection. This solution protects all connected electronics without compromise. The power supply does not include ports for data or telephone line protection.
