The Akasa USB 3.1 Gen1 Type C to PCI controller with dual USB 2.0 Type-A effectively uses free internal connectors on your motherboard and converts them into external ports. Simply connect the adapter to an internal USB 3.1 Gen 1 header and a USB 2.0 header. This expands your PC case's connectivity with one modern USB Type-C port and two standard USB 2.0 Type-A ports. The USB 3.1 Gen 1 port offers a transfer speed of 5Gb/s, while the USB 2.0 ports operate at 480Mb/s.

Installation and construction
The adapter installs into any free PCI slot at the rear of your computer case. Two cables handle the connection to the motherboard: the 40cm cable plugs into the internal USB 3.1 header, and the 30cm cable plugs into the USB 2.0 header. A full-size steel bracket secures the external ports and contributes to the overall stability of the installation.
