Quantum Dot display technology is involved in reproducing a wide range of colours, while backlighting with thousands of miniature diodes and local dimming controls the contrast in individual parts of the image. The sound system from Harman/Kardon complements the visuals with clear sound. Dolby Atmos support brings an immersive surround effect. Connectivity includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, which are ready for connecting modern gaming consoles and other devices.

Sharp 50JP7265E TV picture technology
The 127cm (50") panel displays content in 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160) resolution at a 50/60Hz refresh rate. The Mini LED backlight consists of thousands of tiny diodes grouped into zones with precise local dimming. This system independently controls the brightness in different parts of the scene, creating a high contrast between deep blacks and bright areas. Quantum Dot technology extends the colour gamut and contributes to the accurate reproduction of all shades. The TV processes the common HDR10 and HLG HDR standards. In addition, it supports the Dolby Vision format, which uses dynamic metadata to optimise the image in every single frame.

Harman/Kardon sound system
Sound reproduction is handled by a speaker system from Harman/Kardon, which provides a total power of 24W (2×12W). Its design focuses on clear dialogue and dynamic reproduction of sound effects. The TV integrates Dolby Atmos technology, which creates a three-dimensional sound field and moves the sound in the space around the listener. For uncompressed audio transmission, an HDMI port with eARC is used to connect to a soundbar or AV receiver. The TV also supports Dolby Digital AC4 and Dolby Digital Plus audio formats.

Smart Google TV interface in the Sharp 50JP7265E TV
The Google TV operating system unifies content from various streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, HBO Max or Disney+ onto one clear screen. The system analyses your viewing preferences and recommends new films and series based on them. The remote control includes a button to activate the Google Assistant voice assistant, through which you can search for content or control the TV's functions. The integrated Chromecast built-in function facilitates wireless mirroring of content from a phone, tablet or computer. HbbTV support provides access to additional content from television stations.

Gaming features
Gamers have the ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) function at their disposal. When a compatible game console or computer is connected, the TV automatically switches to gaming mode, which minimises input lag. This results in faster responses to controls in games. All four HDMI ports support the 2.1 standard, which is key to fully utilising the potential of modern gaming devices. This equipment is the basis for smooth 4K image transmission and readiness for advanced gaming technologies.

Sharp 50JP7265E TV connectivity options
The TV offers extensive connectivity options. There are four HDMI version 2.1 ports for connecting game consoles, Blu-ray players and other devices. It also includes two USB ports, which are used to play multimedia files from external drives. For connecting to the internet, it is possible to use a wired connection via a LAN port (RJ-45) or a wireless Wi-Fi network. For connecting external sound systems, there is a digital optical output and also a headphone jack. Wireless accessories such as headphones or soundbars are connected via Bluetooth. There is also a CI+ slot for pay TV decoder cards.

Energy data and consumption
The TV falls into energy class E. Its consumption in standard dynamic range (SDR) is 52kWh per 1,000 hours of operation. When watching content with high dynamic range (HDR), consumption increases to 154kWh for the same period. This increase is caused by the higher demands on backlight brightness, necessary to display HDR effects. In standby mode, energy consumption is reduced to 0.5W. An automatic switch-off function when idle also contributes to energy savings.
