Mini RGB evo for precise and vivid colours
The LG 50MRGB87B3B TV uses Mini RGB evo technology, which works with coloured light to allow for more accurate reproduction of individual shades. RGB Primary colour Pro provides rich colours when watching films, series, sports, photos and other content. Dual certification confirms 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB colour spaces. The result is smoother colour transitions, vivid shades and a more natural picture.
Higher contrast with Precision Dimming
Precision Dimming technology controls the brightness of individual areas of the image according to the scene currently being displayed. Bright parts can stand out more, while dark areas retain better detail and depth. The alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 processor adjusts backlighting, contrast and detail to make the picture more convincing. The LG 50MRGB87B3B TV therefore offers a more striking picture when watching films, sports broadcasts and gaming.
alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 processor
The alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 processor analyses the content being played and continuously optimises its picture and sound. It enhances sharpness, colour and contrast and can recognise different types of scenes. Compared to the previous generation, it offers up to five times the performance of the NPU for processing artificial intelligence functions. This allows the TV to make more effective use of personalisation, picture adjustments and smart features of the webOS system.
AI picture with upscaling to 4K
AI Super Upscaling 4K improves the sharpness and clarity of lower-resolution sources, bringing their picture closer to 4K quality. AI Picture Pro recognises the content of individual scenes, while Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro works with their brightness and contrast. AI HDR Remastering adjusts the colour, brightness and contrast of standard SDR content to make it look richer. Processing results may vary depending on the quality of the source.
Dolby Vision and FILMMAKER MODE
The LG 50MRGB87B3B supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG video formats. Dolby Vision works with dynamic picture data and helps to better render lighting effects, colour depth and detail in shadows. FILMMAKER MODE keeps the picture closer to the original intention of the filmmakers. The ambient version of the mode can use a light sensor to adapt the display to the surrounding conditions.
Surround sound with Dolby Atmos
The TV's sound system offers 20W of power and uses a pair of speakers in a 2.0 configuration. Alpha 8 AI Sound Pro analyses the content being played and creates virtual surround sound in up to a 11.1.2 configuration, while Clear Voice Pro helps to enhance dialogue. Dolby Atmos creates a more spatial soundscape with a better sense of direction and depth. The WOW Orchestra function allows you to synchronise the TV's speakers with a compatible LG soundbar.
webOS 26 with smart Multi AI features
The webOS 26 operating system offers access to streaming apps, a web browser, LG Channels and other online content. Multi AI Search uses Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, AI Concierge recommends content, and AI Voice ID can access your personal My Page. AI Hub centralises search, recommendations, picture and sound settings, and help with controlling the TV in one place. The availability of individual services may vary depending on the country and supported language.
AI Magic Remote for easy control
The included AI Magic Remote allows you to move the cursor across the screen, use the scroll wheel and enter voice commands. The AI button provides quick access to supported artificial intelligence functions. The remote makes it easy to browse menus, launch apps, search for content and adjust picture and sound settings. The availability of specific voice functions depends on the region and language.
LG Shield and webOS Re: New
The LG Shield security platform helps protect user accounts, personal data, data transmission and the integrity of the operating system. The webOS Re: New programme brings system improvements to supported models for up to five years. The number of updates, their schedule and available features may vary depending on the specific model and region.
Art and ambient content with LG Gallery+
The LG Gallery+ service allows you to display works of art, photos, ambient videos and other visual content when the TV is not in regular use. The picture can be complemented with music, and the appearance of the screen can be adapted to the atmosphere of the room. Automatic brightness control adjusts the picture according to the ambient light conditions. Access to the full content and features of the LG Gallery+ service requires a subscription.
Smart Home Hub
Home Hub allows you to control compatible smart home devices directly from the TV screen. The LG 50MRGB87B3B supports connection via LG ThinQ, Google Home, Apple Home and devices using the Matter standard. Google Cast and Apple AirPlay make it easy to wirelessly share photos, videos and other content from mobile devices. The Multi View function allows multiple supported sources to be displayed simultaneously.
Gaming equipment with a frequency of up to 144Hz
The native 120Hz panel supports a variable refresh rate of up to 144Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium, ALLM and HGiG. The Game Optimizer with the Game Dashboard panel provides access to important picture and gaming settings in one place. Motion Booster 288 can increase the refresh rate to up to 288Hz at an optimised Full HD resolution. In Motion Booster mode, the resolution may be reduced to achieve greater smoothness.
4K 120Hz HDR cloud gaming via NVIDIA GeForce NOW
The LG 50MRGB87B3B TV allows access to 4K cloud gaming at 120Hz with HDR via NVIDIA GeForce NOW. You can play selected games without having to buy a separate games console or a powerful computer. The availability of the service may vary by region, and some gaming services may require a subscription.
Bluetooth with extremely low latency
The TV supports compatible Bluetooth game controllers with an extremely low latency mode. This helps to reduce the delay between pressing a button and the game's response, which you'll appreciate especially during cloud or competitive gaming. Wireless control can therefore come closer to a wired connection in terms of sensitivity. A compatible gamepad is sold separately, and one controller can be used in ULL mode.
Slim design and wall mounting
The LG 50MRGB87B3B TV without the stand measures 1,123 × 652 × 29.7mm. The slim profile and narrow bezels help to focus attention on the picture and make it easier to integrate the TV into a modern interior. The VESA 200 × 200mm standard is provided for mounting on a compatible wall mount. The screen has a matte finish that helps to reduce distracting reflections.
