Nano Detail Enhancer for Finer Details
Nano Detail Enhancer technology analyses the image at a micro level, helping to enhance subtle textures, contrast and the spatial depth of individual scenes. The Alpha AI processor continuously works with the picture to make films, TV shows, photos and other content look more natural. The result is a more detailed 4K picture with better-rendered light and dark areas.
HDR10 Pro for Sharper Contrast
HDR10 Pro technology uses LG's proprietary processing based on Dynamic Tone Mapping and optimises HDR10 content frame by frame. Bright areas can appear more vivid, while dark areas retain better definition. The LG 85NU800B3LA can therefore enhance the contrast and detail of HDR scenes without losing the natural look of the picture. HDR10 Pro here refers to the way HDR10 content is processed, not a separate HDR format.
Alpha 7 AI 4K Gen9 Processor
The Alpha 7 AI 4K Gen9 processor uses higher CPU and GPU performance for intelligent image processing and optimisation of individual scenes. It works with sharpness, contrast and spatial depth, and adapts the display to the nature of the content being watched. Advanced AI processing helps create a cleaner 4K image with more natural detail.
4K Super Upscaling Enhances Lower-Quality Sources
The 4K Super Upscaling function processes lower-resolution video and brings its appearance closer to 4K quality. At the same time, Dynamic Tone Mapping adjusts the brightness and contrast according to the specific frame. The TV is therefore able to enhance fine textures, outlines and natural colour transitions even for content that was not originally created in 4K. The result depends on the quality and resolution of the source material.
AI Sound Pro with 9.1.2 Virtual Sound
The built-in 20W sound system uses two speakers in a 2.0 configuration. AI Sound Pro analyses the soundtrack and creates a virtual surround effect in up to a 9.1.2 configuration, while Clear Voice Pro helps to enhance dialogue. Thanks to intelligent processing, the sound adapts better to the nature of the content being watched and creates a more spacious soundscape even without additional speakers. The WOW Orchestra feature allows you to synchronise its speakers with the TV when using a compatible LG soundbar.
webOS 26 with Multi AI Features
The webOS 26 operating system provides access to streaming services, apps, a web browser and smart features through a clear AI Hub interface. Multi AI Search allows you to use Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot when searching. The combination of multiple AI services helps to get more accurate results and makes it easier to find content and answers to questions. The availability of individual AI features depends on region, language and internet connection.
LG Shield and webOS Re:New
The LG Shield platform helps protect the TV's smart environment, user data and connected services. The webOS Re:New programme then allows you to receive new versions of the operating system over a period of five years. The programme includes a total of four webOS updates over the five-year period, with the specific schedule depending on the model and its year of release.
AI Magic Remote for Easier Work with AI Functions
The webOS environment supports control via the AI Magic Remote with a dedicated AI button, scroll wheel and voice search. With a single button, you can quickly access supported artificial intelligence functions and browse the TV's environment more conveniently.
LG Gallery+ and Gallery Mode
LG Gallery+ lets you turn your screen into a decorative element with artwork, ambient videos and other visual content. There are more than 100 motifs available and the range may change and expand over time. Gallery Mode allows you to display selected art even when you are not currently using the TV for normal viewing. Automatic brightness control also adjusts the picture to the ambient light conditions. Full LG Gallery+ content may require a subscription.
Ready for Sports Broadcasts
The TruMotion function works with AI genre recognition and adjusts the motion processing according to the content type. For sports or faster-paced scenes, it can help achieve a more natural and smoother display. Sports Alert allows you to set alerts for match times, results and other important sporting events.
Gaming Features with VRR up to 60Hz
The LG 85NU800B3LA has a native 60Hz panel and supports VRR up to 60Hz, ALLM, HGiG, Game Optimizer and Game Dashboard. The Game Dashboard allows you to quickly change important game settings directly during gameplay, while ALLM automatically activates the low latency mode when a compatible device is connected. The LG Gaming Portal also offers access to supported cloud gaming services, including NVIDIA GeForce NOW.
Bluetooth with Ultra-Low Latency
The TV supports compatible game controllers with Bluetooth Ultra Low Latency technology. With a supported controller, input latency can drop below 2.5ms, which helps to improve wireless control, especially for cloud gaming. The resulting latency may vary depending on the controller, game, app and network conditions.
Smart Home and Wireless Sharing
The LG 85NU800B3LA supports Apple AirPlay, Apple Home, Google Cast and the LG ThinQ app. The Home Hub allows you to access compatible smart home devices directly from the TV screen, and the environment also supports compatible Matter standard devices. You can easily transfer content from your phone or tablet to the 85" screen and use the TV as part of your smart home at the same time.
Slim Design
The LG 85NU800B3LA TV has a minimalist design that, despite its large 85" screen, will fit elegantly into any modern interior. Without the stand, it measures 1,890×1,081×80.4mm and weighs 26.1kg. For mounting on a compatible wall bracket, a VESA 500×400mm standard is provided. The large-format screen provides an impressive space for films, TV shows, sports broadcasts and gaming.
